Blogging, and other things I suck at

Here's everyones Christmas present, a post by yours truly! I know, it's the same thing you got last year but beggars can't be choosers.

Where to start? Looks like I haven't posted since April of this year... a good 7 months. I'll do my best to sum things up.

In June I had my 26th (bleh) birthday, and one hell of a party. My roomate had just finished his Masters Degree and I was turning older, so we thought it appropriate to get a keg, some friends and see what happens. The equation predictably equaled Jory passed out five feet from his own bed.

In August my roommate got a job near D.C. programming, or dealing crack, can't remember but I'm sure he makes about the same money. This led to me getting my own apartment just down the street. I finally have my own place! No roomies, no fam, all nice and bachelor like. I find however, that with no roomate I don't have the pressure to clean as much so it has a nice lingering sweaty cheese smell. Just kidding though, Kathy would never allow that crap.

I quit my job at Dendrite, and I now work in the IT department in Ferguson doing basic network maintenance stuff. It's awesome because I live less than a mile away, which means no more morning commute, backed up tunnels, traffic jams or angrily shaking my fist at old ladies who cut me off.

Kathy and I just recently celebrated our 5 year anniversary. It's quite an amazing feat considering 2 1/2 of those have been long distance, but we are actually stronger than we ever have been. I can honestly say we are both extremely happy with one another. She has two semesters left of school and then we are planning on possibly living together. Who knows, maybe more is in the future....

The fam is doing fine, with nothing to extraordinary to report. Macey is finally leaving the Navy after what seems like a decade of service. Parents are in generally good health (knock on wood).

Anyway, it's about time I take off. I'm hoping it won't be another 6 months 'till I post again, but I'm a grab bag of unexpected slackassness. I know thats not a word, shuddap.
